About the Author

David Hudson is a Certified Estate Planner with the National Institute of Certified Estate Planners, and a Registered Financial Consultant with the International Association of Registered Financial Consultants. He is Hudson7774also an Investment Advisor Representative. David holds securities and insurance licenses in Virginia and North Carolina. He is the co-founder of DART (the Dementia Awareness Resource Team. He is also the President of Master’s Estate And Financial Services of Forest, Virginia, and Hickory, North Carolina.

David is the author of Compassionate Estate Planning, The Art of  Avoiding Family Discord and Passing Values Forward. His articles on protecting assets, estate planning, and financial management for families dealing with dementia have been published in newspapers, magazines, and newsletters. He is a regular contributor to the Prime of Life Magazine. He is a former board member of Senior Information Resources, and a former chairman of the groups education committee. His blog, the Six Minute Coach (sixminutecoach.com) is popular with readers across America and in many foreign countries.

An event that had a major impact on David’s life and career came when his mother was diagnosed with Alzheimer’s disease in 1995. His mission now is to help families deal with the tragedy of dementia. David spends hundreds of hours each year advising families of dementia patients. His transparency, desire to serve others and his gift for simplifying the complicated have made him a popular speaker.
